Mike and Sulley are headed back to the big screen after a 12-year absence, and this time we get to learn more about how Monsters Inc.’s top employees — and BFF’s — met.
It was 2001 when we were first introduced to monsters Mike Wazowski (voiced by Billy Crystal) and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan (John Goodman), whose job it is to scare little kids in the middle of the night.
Rather than a sequel to the popular Disney-Pixar animated feature “Monsters Inc.,” “Monsters University” takes us back to when Mike and Sulley met; how the two couldn’t stand each other at first but later became inseparable friends.
The end result is a retainer for Mike and both are a few pounds thinner.
Crystal also appeared at the Expo, where we got a sneak peak also of the movie still in the very early stages of development. It looks as much fun as the first movie.
Not a huge fan of sequels, I tend to drop that rule when it comes to the Disney-Pixar movies because each one is either as good as the original or better. From the few seconds I’ve seen so far, it looks like “Monsters University” will hold true to that standard.
